Busy busy busy busy....that's why I've been MIA. LOL The novel is coming along WONDERFULLY!!!!! I just came up with a new plot twist for it too. Hehehe, it's gonna be good. ;)

The novel is coming along quite nicely. The chapters are short, but for good reason. Within this story, there are several primary characters. As I switch viewpoints, I start a new chapter, from the viewpoint of the particular character(s). I'm starting chapter 7 now, told from the viewpoints of Ridere and Eldan. Changing new viewpoints using new chapters is done to facilitate splitting the characters up. In chapter 6, the viewpoints are a mesh of Ridere's and Cadyna's. However, as Eldan leaves the Great Hall, with Ridere following close behind him, the viewpoint of the chapter, at the beginning at least, is that of Eldan and Ridere. Eventually, Cadyna will come into play, and her viewpoint will be seen. It's complicated, but effective. :P LOL

Cadyna's Song
Synopsis:
Cadyna, an elven bard from Clan Clearwater, is haunted by the memories of the May Eve on which her people were massacred as they slept. Helpless against so many, Cadyna watched from a perch in an oak tree.
Several years later, Cadyna and her gifted horse, Ariette, travel the lands, singing for whomever will listen, content to sleep under the stars in their beloved forests. One fateful day, Cadyna receives a request to entertain at Castle Warwick for a large party. She accepts, and arrives in the town two weeks before the event.
While in Warwick, Cadyna befriends Eldan, another elf who miraculously escaped the massacre and has been living as a squire to his best friend, the knight Ridere, son of Lord Edric and Lady Aeldra of Castle Warwick. Eldan is in love with Ridere's sister, Audra, and the two meet in secret, as their heritages and classes forbid them from doing otherwise.
When Ridere learns that Audra is betrothed to the vile Lord Claec, lord of the neighboring land, he tries to help Audra find a way to escape her husband's wrath. As Cadyna, Eldan, and Ridere fight to save Audra from her abusive husband, clues as to the identity of the elves' murderers begin to surface, hinting that there is more than just a human evil at work to rid the world of the elves' magick.

That's it! Cadyna's Song is the name of this story, and I'm bound and determined to turn it into a novel. Hehe, I might not have any new work for a while. LOL

It's always an adventure to follow your heart. And mine is leading me to a path of Druidry. The more I read, the more I think, the more I know that it is right. It feels like Home. I'm going this Sunday to a workshop held by a local Wiccan coven. (There are no Druid Groves around here, unfortunately.) It will give me a chance to meet people in person for a change. Also, I started on the elven bard story. The plotline will be a little different from what I had originally intended, as I am adding a few things, but it's coming along, slowly, but it's coming along. This one may take me quite a while, as I hope to NOT make it a short story. Who knows? Maybe my novel is finally in the works? ;)

Heh, finally able to write. Been wanting to work on a different story, but it tends to escape me every time I try. However, I've gone back to work on the werewolf story. As such, I'm working on chapter 1 now. It's not going to be a long story, I don't think. I don't determine that though. I simply let the story write itself; I only do the typing. LOL

Yea, yea. It's been a while.
But I've been keeping myself busy, dammit. :P I finally got the chance to read Dan Brown's novel The Da Vinci Code. This is a MUST READ! It tops the list of my favorite books at the moment. It's wonderful! I started reading, and couldn't put it down. It only took me 1 1/2 days to read it. LOL
After reading it, I wanted to read The Chalice and the Blade again. Another exquisite book! (I had read it a few years ago, but didn't remember much.) It's a beautiful story. :)
Other than that, not much is happening. I found a new coven in Georgetown that I'm trying to get in contact with. I'm to the point where I'm wanting to possibly join a coven. It all depends on the people and our rapport together.
Wanting to get back to my writing, but keep feeling like I'm hitting a stumbling block in a pitchblack tunnel. I have 2 stories to work on, and nothing seems to come out when I sit down to write. :/

Having a nasty cold sucks. I feel fucking miserable. :P On the other hand, all I've had energy to do today is mp3 hunt on Kazaa Lite. Hehe *insert devious grin* One point I must make: Geoff Tate is a vocal god. Period. (If you don't know who that is, then I must faint. No, seriously, he's the lead singer for Queensryche. Incredible...utterly INCREDIBLE voice. And the musicianship of the entire group is astounding.) Still haven't gotten a hold of "Somewhere Over China" from Buffett (Jimmy, that is), but I don't give up easy. Lace (our roommate) and I had to run to the grocery store earlier and decided to take the babies with us. Halfway through the shopping, we vowed to refrain from shopping with the babies. James wasn't too bad. But Nadia, on the other hand, drove us NUTS. Anyway, enough for now. Back to chilling while babies "supposedly" nap.
